The government has no business telling someone what they should and should not do with their body or personal lives. On issues such as abortion and LGBTQ+, the government should not be involved in the decisions an individual makes in these situations and thus should make abortion legal and provide advanced protections for LGBTQ+ individuals.
Americans are having a difficult time affording daily expenses. I support lowering/abolishing state income tax to provide more money in the pockets of my constituents. With the decrease in state income tax, we must cut government spending to eliminate deficit spending. I will work with my colleagues in the legislature to reduce taxes and spending to improve the economy and provide better living conditions for the people of Minnesota.
The public education system in Minnesota continues to drop in national ranking. We need to work together, regardless of our sides on the political spectrum to increase funding for our schools, increase teacher pay, and reform the education standards currently set in Minnesota.
The Second Amendment guarantees the right to keep and bear arms. I support the constitution and will push Minnesota to repeal the current firearms laws and implement constitutional carry.
